This person will oversee day to day operations and guide the site in its quest to successfully accomplish its long-term goals, objectives and policies.
This position must effectively carry out the essential duties of this position in a manner that consistently demonstrates the values of the company in a positive manner.
A strong team-oriented leader of people is essential.Responsibilities and Duties
Continuously lead and pursue a Zero Accident Culture. Drive all aspects of the Zero Accident Culture initiative.
Oversee the daily operations of the St. Louis manufacturing facility, optimizing profitability and cash flow.
Improve and report on key performance indicators to senior management.
Negotiate and purchase raw material each month for the site.
Ensure that production targets are met and quality standards are maintained.
Manage the performance of the manufacturing team and ensure that they are trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively.
Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
Ensure that the facility is well-maintained and that all equipment is in good working order.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that the facility operates efficiently and effectively.
Continuously improve admin functions and IT systems for optimal effectiveness
Ensure the talent plan is kept up to date. Recruitment, retention, development and succession are priorities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
Willingness to relocate in the future.
Willingness to work extended and flexible hours, as needed.
