    Territory Sales Representative

    Summary: Our employee-focused distribution client within the building materials industry is seeking a Sales Representative to join their organization. This individual in the Columbia area will support both the Columbia market and other localities in Eastern South Carolina daily to build and maintain relationships with clients. This individual will promote the company to entities in the residential and commercial building industry to increase market penetration. This organization offers a close-knit, encouraging, and supportive environment.

    Opportunity: Direct Hire

    Compensation: $70,000 - $75,000 base salary + commission (OTE of $100k+)

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage a geographically assigned territory or 400+ active & inactive customers.
    • Identify and attend local or regional events to generate leads and potential sales.
    • Follow up on email, mail, and all other marketing campaigns to cultivate leads.
    • Complete weekly sales reports.
    • Establish and maintain a phone sales process that supports overall sales efforts. Craft an individualized quarterly and monthly plan to cultivate existing and pursue new customers to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
    • Work with customer service (operations) team members to ensure customers' needs are being fully met.
    • Create and track commercial project opportunities from design through post-sales phases.
    • Ensure sales plan incorporates key products in targeted market segments.
    • Work with vendors to strengthen vendor relationships and ensure proper sales positioning, etc.
    • Procure product displays at targeted retail or similar accounts. Ensure assigned accounts have the most up to date samples and literature at assigned accounts.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience in cabinet and quartz distribution, or related industries is highly preferred.
    • Experience engaging with fabricators, millworks, dealers, large property managers highly preferred.
    • Proven ability to proactively establish and nurture new relationships.
    • Exceptionally organized, with the capacity to effectively manage territories, client accounts, and weekly schedules.
    • Demonstrated superior time management skills.
    • Must be willing to travel daily throughout the week for client meetings.
    • Ability to collaborate within a team environment while also excelling in independent work.
    • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM or Agility software is preferred.
