- Organic Strategy – supporting the analysis and implementation of strategic priorities like: evaluating new markets and products, market research, operational analyses for product reallocation within a manufacturing network, and engaging with customers to identify pain points and potential solutions.
- Capital Investment – evaluating market demand and supply to decide where APG should invest in the next 5 to 10 years. This includes preparing memorandums for major capital expenditure approvals and utilizing data and analytics for site selection.
- Strategic Planning – assisting in the execution of commercial and operational excellence initiatives. Collaborate with APG's operating companies to devise local strategic plans for each market and business.
- Inorganic Strategy - aiding in the integration of new acquisitions and assessing APG's existing portfolio.
- Acquire a deep understanding of a global building product enterprise and play a significant role in a team that captures insights, guides decisions, and delivers substantial results.
- Support the communication, analysis, and presentation of strategic initiatives throughout APG and up to CRH's leadership. This involves creating financial models and presentation documents to convey APG's strategic plan and reviews.
- Conduct analysis, research (both internal and external), and critical evaluation to prioritize a portfolio of impactful initiatives, strategic projects, and investment opportunities.
- Support tailored integration and implementation efforts related to new acquisitions, major capital projects, and strategic pilots. Conduct specialized analysis to support decision-making. Engage in problem-solving sessions to assist APG's President.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or Finance preferred.
- Two+ years of experience in any combination of investment banking, corporate finance, consulting, or business development.
- Exposure to varied experiences building genuine business acumen across multiple functions.
- The candidate must excel in financial modeling, commercial diagnostics, and operational analysis.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments and concurrently managing multiple workstreams.
- Keen to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced setting.
- Travel up to 30%.
