TITLE:
Customer Account Specialist





REPORTS TO:
Customer Service Manager





BASED AT:
Harken, Inc., Pewaukee, WI





STATUS:
Full Time, 1st shift, Non-Exempt


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Learn Harken's product line in order to respond to customer inquiries and promote products
  • Prepare customer quotations and invoices using D36
  • Manage customer orders, including scheduling ship dates, consolidating orders, and determining mode of transport
  • Expedite customer orders by working with internal departments; including purchasing, accounting, shipping, and production
  • Work closely with Export Specialist on international orders to ensure a clear understanding of customer requirements, special international freight processes and sales terms (INCOTERMS)
  • Respond to customer inquiries and feedback regarding products, services, delivery dates and pricing
  • Issue RMA and submit credits and debits
  • Collaborate with sales team and pricing leader to update and maintain customer parts and price lists annually
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining customer standard operating procedures (SOP)
  • Provide ongoing support to sales team
  • Other duties as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:


  • A high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required. An associate's degree and a minimum of two years customer service experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred; and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to function in a team environment
  • Manage a high volume of transactions while maintaining superior attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills required. Microsoft Excel, Word and Microsoft Dynamics AX knowledge, a plus
  • Sailing experience, a plus
  • Excellent problemsolving skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple assignments
to meet deadlines and goals despite unexpected setbacks, obstacles, or time constraints

  • Team player able to interact in a positive, constructive manner with staff members on all levels within the company
  • Ability to use standard office equipment
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs, i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Publisher
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, feel or handle objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands or arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Must be able to walk or stand on concrete for up to 4 hours at a time
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception and the ability to focus
