    Medical Receptionist - Internal Medicine

    Glen Burnie, MD


    MUST
    3 years off medical office experience and 5 years of professional experience

    Strong customer service skills

    Comfortable working in a high volume practice

    Highly experienced answering phones and assisting callers as needed

    Strong customer service and phone experience

    Experience obtaining pre-authorizations

    Scheduling appointments

    Comfortable responding to written inquiries

    High School Diploma


    DUTIES:
    The duties of the medical receptionist include but are not limited to the following:

    Answer phones

    Assist with patient follow up and coordination of care

    Verify insurance

    Confirm appointments

    Schedule appointments

    Take messages

    Respond to voicemails

    Send appointment reminders

    Assist with any issues that may arise

    Obtain pre-authorizations

    Document information in EMR
