Update, maintain and report weekly cash forecast to headquarters treasury department, utilizing cash expectations from Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable service centers, as well as revenue forecast from Controlling, (ITS reporting)
Manage all financial aspects of the core liabilities and core assets of the company, including reconciliation of balances and coordination the investigation of differences with core manager. (TCMS)
Assist with preparation and reporting of month end IFRS financial results to headquarters, including preparation of multiple journal entries, reports and schedules (MIF reporting)
Analyze and perform inventory revaluations for various issues, after proper approvals. Investigate underlying causes and implement corrective actions.
Prepare and review various account reconciliations as assigned, making sure to include thorough supporting detail.
Prepare schedules requested by management and auditors and provide support during internal and external audits.
Develop, implement, modify, and document accounting processes, systems and financially relevant internal controls, and perform self assessment testing as scheduled. (ICS)
Oversee, coordinate and support cross-functional projects that involve various accounting functions.
Understand and maintain knowledge on current industry standards for International Accounting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards.
Keep management informed on finances of the company, current workload, issues and future assignments.
Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct.
Perform special projects as needed.

Daily work is performed in an office environment. This position has a traditional Monday through Friday work schedule. This position is asked to work casual overtime, especially during month and year-end accounting.

While performing duties of this position, the employee is occasionally required to stand, kneel, crouch, reach, and / or grasp. Next, an employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to manipulate small items such as a keyboard or mouse. Finally, an employee is also frequently required to walk within the work environment.

Specific vision requirements for this position include close vision, and the employee must have the ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance and 5 years of experience in accounting, auditing and/or financial reporting; or 9 years of experience in accounting, auditing and/or financial reporting.
Excellent knowledge of accrual accounting, account reconciliations, as well as knowledge of International Accounting Standards and U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Excellent ability to complete accounting tasks in a timely and accurate fashion, particularly in support of financial period closings.
Excellent knowledge of financial audit requirements.
Excellent analytical ability for complex financial issues.
Excellent organizational, planning and follow-up skills.
Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Strong ability to maintain focus when working on detailed tasks.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
Strong ability to work independently and with little direction.
Strong oral, written and presentation communication skills.
Must be available to work overtime when needed, especially during month end close (first 3 workdays per month).
Able to travel domestically and internationally when required (<10%)
Knowledge and experience with the SAP FI/CO Module.
Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite.

Preferred:

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance.
Working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
