    **SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** **:**

    The Receiving Clerk unloads material, verifies accuracy of paperwork, receives goods into the ERP system, and distributes deliveries to the appropriate parties as needed.

    **REPORTING TO** : Value Stream Manager

    **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

    Assists in the unloading of material from various types of vehicles using material handling equipment.

    Creates and prints receivers for all incoming standard and non-standard products.

    Counts and weighs material to verify accuracy of packing slips and moves material to the Receiving Inspection Department or appropriate destination.

    Operates material handling equipment, i.e. forklift, reach fork, electric or hand mule, delivery truck, hoist and overhead crane.

    Weighs material and verifies count by using appropriate scales.

    Uses computer as needed to perform job functions.

    Maintains required paperwork.

    Participates in the continuous improvement process by attending meetings and presenting problems and possible solutions to the appropriate personnel.

    Knowledge of the operation of material handling equipment.

    Forklift qualified or certified.

    Basic Math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).

    Basic computer skills required.

    **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:**

    High School Diploma or GED

    1 year of manufacturing experience plus,

    Receiving related experience

    **Essential Functions:**

    **Physical Demands:**

    60% or more of the time is divided between standing and walking.

    A minimum amount of climbing is required.

    Approximately 30% of the time is spent bending and crouching.

    Between 30% and 60% of the time is spent reaching with hands and arms.

    Lifting requirements range from less than 10 lbs. up to 10,000 lbs. Manual lifting could reach the company maximum of 50 lbs. Material handling equipment is available for heavy lifting.

    **Work Environment:**

    Exposure to moving, mechanical parts approximately 30% of the time.

    Exposure to outdoor weather conditions approximately 30% of the time.

    Exposure to moderate noise.

    **Mental/Visual Demands:**

    Distance and peripheral vision are required for safety due to the traffic in the plant.

    Close vision is required to perform job functions.

    Depth perception is required for operating reach trucks.

    Requires constant alertness to machine operation.

    **COMPENSATION**

    The estimated compensation for this position is $ $29.24 per hour

    This position may be eligible for an $ sign on bonus
