Bilingual Human Resources Generalist position in Plano, IL

Lee Hecht Harrison is looking for a Spanish-speaking HR professional to provide people operations support for a small manufacturing plant in Chicago's southwest suburbs. If you're looking for an opportunity to grow your HR skillset with a family-oriented organization, this position is for you

Compensation Range: $55,000 - $65,000 Per Year (Depending on Experience & Technical Skillet)
Employment Type: Direct Hire / Permanent Placement
Hours:
- Monday – Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm (Full-Time; 40 Hours Per Week)
- (1) 6:00am – 2:00pm Shift Every Two Weeks (To Provide HR Support for 3rd Shift Employees)
Worksite: In-Office / Onsite (Plant Location w/ Attached Offices)
Dress Code: Business Casual
Report To: Human Resources Manager

Responsibilities:

Manually processing payroll by taking physical timecards and keying daily entries into AS400, updating the payroll batch list, and working with accounting to ensure timely payment
Working with the HR Manager to handle employee attendance, discipline, performance management, and employee relations including labor transfers to other departments
Coordinating Leaves of Absences (LOA), including FMLA, Paternity Leave, WC, etc.)
Managing full-cycle recruitment, employee orientation, safety meetings, and employee appreciation initiatives (holiday parties, etc.)

Requirements:

Bilingual (Spanish & English Fluency) is required (the majority of plant staff are Spanish-speaking)
2-3 years of experience in a Human Resources role (ideally with exposure to all areas of HR – Recruiting, Payroll, Employee Relations, Benefits Administration, etc.)
Bachelor's Degree or advanced certifications in HR are highly preferred
Experience working within an industrial / manufacturing facility is ideal
