    General Purpose


    We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to forecast revenues and expenditures and advise us on future budgeting.

    The ideal candidate will ensure our financial planning is healthy and profitable and aligns with business objectives.

    The candidate will provide accurate and timely issuance of Accounts Receivable (A/R) Reports and promptly escalate issues noted for immediate resolution.

    Responsibilities/Activities

    Develop financial models through benchmarking and process analysis.

    Analyze financial data and provide forecasting support.

    Prepare cost projections.

    Responsible for monthly financial analysis and reporting metrics.

    Analyze customer economics and business trends

    Develop business KPI's, and model future growth projections.

    Assist with budgeting and monthly close processes.

    Analyze and report on current financial status.

    Conduct thorough research of historical financial data.

    Explore investment options and present risk and opportunities.

    Coordinate with the Sr. Director of Accounting and the executive team on long-term financial planning.

    Compare anticipated and actual results and identify areas of improvement.

    Participate in budgeting (for departments and projects).

    Review accounting transactions for data accuracy.

    Establish financial policies.

    Maintain confidentiality of financial information and investment decisions.

    Qualification Requirements

    Education/

    Experience:
    BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics

    Experience with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, G Suite, Project, SharePoint would be an asset.

    Proven work experience as a Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Analyst or similar role

    Hands-on experience with financial and statistical software

    Highly proficient in MS Excel.

    Familiarity with finance databases

    Up-to-date with accounting laws and regulations

    Relevant certification (e.g. CFA/CPA) is a plus


    Knowledge of:
    General accounting practices (GAAP).

    Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP)

    Basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping

    Working knowledge of NetSuite and Oracle would be an asset.

    Revenue recognition schedules, reconciliations, and best practices.

    Strong understanding of economic trends, political situations, policies and regulations that may affect client interests.


    Skills:
    Advanced Excel skills.

    Ability to present financial data using detailed reports and charts.

    Analytical skills to process large amounts of information to find profitable investments.

    Strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy.

    Superb time management.

    Computer skills to effectively use software to analyze financial information, identify trends, establish portfolios, and make forecasts.

    Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and one of the commonly used accounting ERP systems, such as Oracle, SAP, NetSuite

    SQL, MS Access are a plus.

    Fluent in English.

    Physical Work Environment

    The work is performed in an office setting; well ventilated and in a comfortable setting. Work is performed seated and use of office equipment such as a computer, copier/scanner, and printer. Manual dexterity frequent. Occasional bending, lifting of less than 25lbs.
