    Responsibilities:


    In concert with the Director of Health and Healing, the Associate Director works within the framework of a team of integrative health professionals and support staff to deliver world-class wellness programs that inspire guests to make lasting and meaningful lifestyle changes.

    The incumbent will coordinate the day to day operations of the business and administrative needs of the programs and facility, ensuring the highest level of guest service and customer satisfaction.


    Key areas of focus for this position include but are not limited to: Administration of the Medical Department, project management, guest satisfaction, monthly financial commentary, management of capital improvements, interdepartmental process improvement, with direct oversight of Medical, Nutrition, Administrative, Musculoskeletal Joint Health, and Acupuncture teams.

    Position reports to the Director of Health and Healing.

    Description
    Daily Operations: 30%- -Assumes primary responsibility for planning, coordinating and directing the medical program. Works closely with administrative and medical personnel in coordinating medical functions with those of other Ranch departments and services.

    Services/Programming: 10% With the support of the H&H Admin III, manage the development of new services, programs and lecture recommendationsboth local to Tucson and Corporate initiatives/interests.

    Assists Department Directors with development and implementation of new programs and services.

    Staff Supervision: 30%

    Directly manage the Medical, Administrative, MSK & Acupuncture teams. Select, hire, train, schedule, counsel, terminate and conduct performance reviews.

    Policies & Procedures: 10%


    Assist and review the development and revisions of Canyon Ranch Health & Healing policies and procedures with focus on continuous process improvement.

    W
    Financial Analysis: 10% Analyze financial data, departmental utilization reports and revenue statistics.
    Safety and Compliance: 10% Oversee department facilities ensuring all areas are well maintained and standards are met. Ensures all Health & Healing areas record, report and resolve all cleanliness and safety concerns in their respective areas.
    Supervises 6 or more (full time equivalent) colleagues.


    Direct budget and/or revenue generating responsibility: The position is directly responsible for forecasting and generating revenue or developing and managing the department budget.


    Qualifications:


    Must have 3 to 5 years prior experience within healthcare field, an understanding and respect for both eastern and western medicine.

    Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
    Valid Drivers license and clean driving record to meet Group A Driving Requirements
    CPR/First Aid Certification
    Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal skills, attention to detail and work well under pressure.

    Must have demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and internal company software systems.
