- Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications, using squares, rulers, and
- Tack-weld fitted parts together.
- Align and fit parts according to specifications, using jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, drift
- Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine materials requirements and
- Hammer, chip, and grind work pieces in order to cut, bend, and straighten metal.
- Smooth workpiece edges, and fix taps, tubes, and valves.
- Design and construct templates and fixtures, using hand tools.
- To work overtime as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or high school GED.
- Over 2 years of experience structural fitting.
- Require minimal supervision to perform the job.
- Ability to work in a demanding, multi-task environment.
- Ability to manipulate tools and assembly components involving fine and gross motor
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, kneel, twist, pull, push, grip, and climb.
