    Description

    As a member of our Account Technology and Reference Data team, you'll play a pivotal role in developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining essential backend systems. You'll collaborate closely with team leaders and managers, contributing both independently and within the team dynamic.

    The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of software lifecycle and the design of multi-tier/distributed systems. Alongside technical prowess, strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team. Prior experience in the Capital Markets or Trading industry are heavily preferred.

    This role requires the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to various audiences, regardless of their technical background. A strong appetite for learning and insight into business operations are crucial for success.

    Responsibilities:

    • Developing and overseeing multiple 3-tier back-office systems.
    • Making independent decisions with risk management in mind.
    • Demonstrating ownership over the firm's technology systems.
    • Thriving in a fast-paced environment, balancing second-line support and strategic development tasks.

    Qualifications:

    • Proficiency in C# development, Microsoft .NET, and .NET Core.
    • Extensive experience in multi-threaded programming and object-oriented design.
    • A solid track record in building connected, service-oriented applications using REST, WebApi, and JSON.
    • Competence with Database Systems, preferably Microsoft SQL.
    • Experience in DevOps tools such as JIRA, Git, Build Automation, Deployment Automation, and Unit Testing.
    • Strong communication skills, including technical writing and end-user interaction.

    Desirable Experience:

    • Previous exposure to Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Snowflake, etc.).
    • Familiarity with enterprise messaging and cache systems.
    • Web development experience with JavaScript platforms like React JS or Angular.
    • Proficiency in Python.
    • Understanding of US and International Equity, Fixed Income, and Commodity markets.
    • Experience with Accounting systems like Advent Geneva.
    • Familiarity with Trading workflows (Equity, Macro, Credit).
