Experience:
- Minimum of 12 months of relevant experience required.
- Prior experience in Intensive Care Unit for at least 12 months is preferred.
- Proficiency with Epic is a must.
Requirements:
- Applicants must possess a valid South Dakota license or compact license at the time of application.
- Flexibility to float across multiple units is essential for this role.
- Candidates must reside a minimum of 100 miles away from the facility to qualify for this position.
- Mandatory COVID vaccination is required for onboarding, with accommodations for medical or religious exemptions.
Prior completion of pre-employment modules may be necessary. Be sure to upload any relevant certifications or health records to expedite the onboarding process.
Additional Details:
Monument Health has restricted dates for requesting time off from 8/1/24 to 8/18/24. They also specify preferred start dates in their job postings, so aligning your availability can increase your chances of selection for an interview or offer.

The ideal candidate should possess at least 2 years of ICU experience, excluding travel assignments. Specializing in complex ICU cases such as surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma patients; familiarity with conditions like ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, and post-surgical care is valuable.
Experience with cardiac cases like CABG/TAVR is beneficial but not mandatory. Proficiency in Impella, IABP, and CRRT procedures is highly desirable.
Knowledge of charting systems such as Epic, Alaris, and Omnicell is advantageous.While floating to other units is rare, being able to float to various adult floors, including Medsurg/Tele, should be confirmed during the interview.
Expect weekend rotations, every other holiday, with restrictions on requesting time off during holidays, specifically the Sturgis Bike Rally period in August.
Scrub color preference is Navy, with a maximum of 7 days off permitted. Provide two references from the past 12 months, ideally from a Manager/Supervisor.
