TITLE:
Warehouse Assistant - Property Control

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Perform assigned work in the area of warehouse and property control.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or experience equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED
One (1) year warehouse experience
Must possess valid Arizona Driver's License with a clean driving record.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receive product from various vendors, suppliers, etc.
Provide delivery/pickup of furniture and all other district materials.
Maintain stock for new classroom set ups and replacements and provide control of assets during movement or removal.
Process picket tickets.
Ensure compliance of procedures and policies of the office of the Auditor General and Arizona Department of Education at all times.
Anticipate and forecast volume trends to meet service levels and complete appropriate documentation.
Receive and process orders with corresponding P.O. numbers.
Provide moving assistance for reassigned teachers and staff.
Prepare and transport obsolete items to auction sites.
Deliver interoffice mail and packages.
Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:

Knowledge of automated inventory systems
Knowledge of record keeping practices
Knowledge of proper safety techniques
Skill lifting heavy packages and objects
Skill operating forklift or other related equipment
Skill establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
Skill communicating verbally and in writing

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Exposure to dangerous machinery.

Potential physical harm.

Exposure to various weather conditions.

PHYSICAL EFFORT:

Bending, stooping, and reaching

Frequently lifting up to 80 pounds

WORK YEAR: 12 months
