- Bachelor's of Science degree in any engineering discipline and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
- OR Masters degree in any engineering discipline and 7 years of related engineering experience
- OR PhD degree in any engineering discipline and 4 years of related engineering experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- Thorough understanding of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
- An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
- Systems Engineering Experience and/or Certification
- 3+ yrs of progressive responsibility in providing technical leadership
- Professional Engineering License
- Able to create unified user experiences throughout a given application
- Experienced with developing and orchestrating usability studies and addressing discovered issues
- Provide technical direction for development, engineering, interfacing, integration and testing of complex hardware/software systems, including requirements elicitation and analysis & functional allocation
- Conduct system requirements reviews
- Develop concepts of operation & interface standards
- Develop system architectures
- Perform technical and nontechnical assessment & management
- End-to-end flow analysis
- Generating and reviewing designs for technical accuracy, completeness and appropriateness
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
- Experience leading baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of high impact trade studies and other measures
- Thorough understanding of establishing and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM)
