    Description
    Role and Responsibilities

    Ensure compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.

    Conduct periodic Safety Committee Meetings (Hazard Awareness, Training, Accident Review, etc.)

    Identify prevention, health and safety needs regarding risk assessment and legal requirements and recommend the required activities; develop policies, standards and procedures; ensure roll-out and the necessary training is conducted.

    Provide annual and department specific safety training or outsource as needed.
    Plan and conduct workplace management audits and inspections and recommend the appropriate corrective/preventative measures and actions; promote best practices.
    Investigate injuries as they occur and ensure all documentation is complete; advise management on problem correction.
    Design and implement a management dashboard (communication and follow-up)
    Work closely with Human Resources to discuss training needs, accidents/injuries, programs, etc.


    Job Requirements:
    Familiarity with OSHA regulations
    Ability to utilize MS Office computer software
    1+ years experience with Health and Safety Management
    Must be able to work both individually and in team setting; strong project management skills.
    Previous experience (2+ years) in a manufacturing environment preferred.
    Associates' degree in Risk Management (or related) preferred.


    Certs:
    Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
    Certified Safety Professional (CSP) Preferred
