Job Description
Job DescriptionWorking closely with our management team, the Regional Safety/Training Manager is expected to identify areas of improvement within each project's operations and develop a plan to improve any deficiencies or non-compliance.
The Regional Training Manager is responsible for the development and management of our company training program throughout the North and South of our Nashville, TN to Alexandria, VA Headquarters. Our Training Program Mission Statement is:
· To improve the knowledge, skills and abilities of our associates while being,
· Recognized as a substantial part of our compensation and benefits package and showing
· Measurable continuous improvement in company performance and employee engagement
Major Functions of the Job
1. Manage the overall administration of the Training Program throughout North and South Texas Regions
2. Plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops.
3. Analyze training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs.
4. Obtain, organize, or develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials.
5. Responsible for the development and quality of the training curriculum and its development.
6. Ensure training content is properly aligned with operational guidelines, company culture and ISD division goals.
7. Understand each project's contractual requirements and work with the Project Management team to ensure contract compliance.
8. Ensure each project is following Jorgensen SOPs and any non-compliance issues are addressed through targeted training.
9. Participate in partnering sessions between Jorgensen and project stakeholders.
10. Have ability to travel to projects, 50% overnight travel.
Minor Functions of the Job
1. Lead and coordinate weekly meetings and required training.
2. Be a dependable and reliable member of the team.
3. Show initiative; seek out work and get the job done without being told.
4. Provide assistance to project, regional management and support staff as necessary.
5. Communicate clearly with supervisors and other team members
Training Details
1. Develops, maintains and audits the training process in the organization taking proper actions to close gaps.
2. Responsible for assisting with the implementation and management of the diversity and affirmative action outreach programs for Jorgensen.
3. Identify metrics to drive training strategy and help managers make better training decisions.
4. Consults with directors, regional and project managers to determine training needs for the organization.
5. Communicate relevant, up-to-date training information by means of visual presentations.
6. Responsible for developing and monitoring (key performance indicators) to measure the effectiveness of the training program.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrates detailed knowledge of company goals and missions
Moderate lifting; up to 50 pounds.
Dexterity to write and manipulate computer, keyboard, mouse, and smart phone
