    Senior Accountant - STAT

    About the Company and Opportunity:

    • Our client is a well-established organization in the Tampa area and they are adding an Senior Accountant - STAT to their team
    • The role reports to the Assistant Controller and will have exposure to upper management
    • Long-tenured team that prides themselves on a very low turnover rate
    • The company is growing significantly so plenty of opportunity for advancement
    • The company boasts a collaborative, team environment
    • Hybrid schedule (only in office 2-3 days per month)

    Senior Accountant's Responsibilities:

    • The Senior Accountant - STAT will be responsible for daily transactional volume and monthly closings for the P&C division
    • Prepare standard monthly journal entries and assist with monthly reinsurance journal entries
    • The Senior Accountant - STAT will handle financial and other reporting with respect to statutory filings
    • Assist and support GAAP reporting
    • Complete monthly reconciliations as assigned
    • Prepare assigned financial statements and related footnotes
    • Assist with the preparation of the Quarterly and Annual Statutory financial statements

    Requirements for the Senior Accountant - STAT:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)

    • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years dedicated to statutory reporting

    • Strong command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, delivering clear and concise information
