    Description

    ABS Group is seeking GIS Analysts of all levels (Jr., with experience in geospatial data analysis and modeling and visualizing data to support the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

    The GIS Analyst will be part of an integral team providing our clients with the latest tools, models, and software to communicate risk using GIS technologies.


    What You Will Do:

    Utilize GIS and related software to produce, display, and analyze geographic informationDevelop models, custom geoprocessing tools and other automated process enhancementsPerform quality assurance of GIS data and associated deliverablesCreating, editing, and managing Esri File GeodatabasesSupporting the development of services and analysis of GIS dataCreate, organize, manipulate, and retrieve GIS data for reporting, analysis, and presentation purposesEdit and create static and dynamic mapping products and servicesCommunicate technical subjects to both management and clients in a clear mannerDevelop, edit, and troubleshoot large geodatabases used by mapping tools.

    Bachelor's Degree required.

    Degree in Computer Science, Environmental Science, Geography, or related field with demonstrated GIS training or courseworkKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    Esri ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro software expertiseFoundational knowledge of GIS principles and methodsKnowledge with the FEMA's Hazus software desiredProficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel desiredArcGIS Online, Python and Web Application development capabilities desired
