As a Shipman, you will...

  • be responsible for conducting and coordinating geometric measurement tasks and analysis for prototype bodies, components, including data preparation and project documentation of results
  • ensure quality improvement by developing measures for the product or process with partners from test vehicle construction, development departments, and factories
  • create project-specific measurement programs for early analysis capability of factory 0 and series factories
  • actively contribute to the development and testing of innovative measurement technologies and take on the supervision and commissioning of measurement systems, IT systems, and software

    As a Shipman, you...

  • have a degree in engineering or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience
  • have experience as an engineer/technician in the automotive industry
  • have experience in measurement technology in the automotive industry
  • have knowledge and experience in current optical and tactile 3D measurement systems
  • have good knowledge of CATIA V5, CM, and Polyworks
  • have good knowledge of optical measurement technology (GOM - Atos) and robot control (KUKA)
  • demonstrate team and communication skills with external and internal partners
