    Manufacturing EngineerWe are searching for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer at our Salt Lake City, UT facility

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
    SummaryResponsible to support themanufacturing team in their efforts to produce product according to customerdemand.

    This includes assisting in the creation, correction, and interpretationof drawings, BOMs, routings, transactions, etc., as well as leading projects asnecessary.

    Improve the business by contributing, supporting, and implementingideas to enhance processes and practices for the manufacturing value stream.

    Lead by example to create a positive culture by ensuring a safework environment, always exhibiting honesty, and respecting other people at alltimes.

    ResponsibilitiesSupport production team members in the continual improvement of production processesSupport production in the development of processes that are repeatable and safeSupport purchasers on ensuring vendor qualitySupport and lead the implementation of new designs and updated designs into productionSupport supply chain and production in the creation of quality testing and first articlesOversee and participate in a maintenance system that ensures strong uptime of machinery and equipmentAssist in training systems and methodologyEnsure the completion of manufacturing routings in a timely and accurate mannerResponsiveness to production team members when issues arise (stop and fix)


    Support production in ensuring that standards are being adhered to and that parts are of high quality are being produced according to specificationsOversee internal and external quality certifications (ISO, training certifications, etc.)Assist production in building quality into the processesAssist in responding to and eliminating warranty and quality issues that ariseLead or assist in leading key manufacturing related projects of various scaleUnderstand and promote Senneca mission and values at all times and ensure that safety policies and procedures are being followedExhibit respectful behavior and communication at all timesEffectively use metrics and visual management systems to define, measure, and improve performance to both internal and external customers and ensure customer satisfactionContinually develop and train on new skills and processesConfirm that standardized countermeasures/best practices are maintained, sustained, and improvedLead or participate in improvement eventsBe flexible with work schedule as necessary to get expected resultsCreate results by working effectively through, and bringing out the best, in team membersBe aware of, and escalate any personnel issues to Manager and HR Director as neededOther duties as assignedPreferred skills, knowledge, and behaviorsEducation: 4-year degree from accredited college or university in either Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineer, Mechanical Engineering or Ten (10) years proven engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

    Two (2) to Five (5) yearsof engineering experience within a manufacturing environment, 3D drawings, improvementprojectsGood attitude at all timesAbility to teach othersProcess thinkerMastery of 5S, waste elimination, and other lean principlesAbility to use and create 2D and 3D drawings on both CAD and SolidWorksISO 9001, 45001, and 14001Ability to use ERP systemProblem solving: root cause analysis and corrective actionContinual learnerFlexible and adaptable to frequent changeDevelop in depth knowledge of product line and processesFluent in EnglishAbility to work effectively with cross-functional groups such as engineering, sales, etc.

    Microsoft office seriesGood interpersonal skills (getting along with others)Ability to lead team to strong results and achieve strategic results requiring teamworkTools and EquipmentComputer, phone, ERP, design software such as CAD and SolidWorks, maintenance software, etc.

    Machinery, equipment, and measuring tools appropriate to the manufacturing environmentCAD, SolidWorks, and other design softwareForklift Operation as neededWork EnvironmentThe work environment characteristicsdescribed here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

    Exposure to production shop conditions; including moving mechanical equipment, and exposure to various fumes, heat, cold, and irritants.
    The noise level can be high due to operation of production equipment.
    Proper clothing attire must be worn. No torn clothes/excessively dirty clothes shall be worn during working hours. No dangerous loose clothing shall be worn including clothes with rips or holes.

    Employees are expected to be clean shaven if using respirators, and long hair must be pulled back during work hours.

    No loose-fitting jewelry can be worn for safety purposes of the operator.
