    Description

    The Boys' Latin School of Maryland, an independent K-12 day and boarding boys' school located in Baltimore, seeks an experienced, dynamic, and collaborative educator to serve as the next Director of Community, Equity and Inclusion. Working closely with the Headmaster and other senior administrators, the Director of Community, Equity and Inclusion will develop and implement key, institutional diversity initiatives and coordinate the efforts of the professional community to enhance the welcoming and equitable nature of the School.

    Boys' Latin seeks a proven leader, with established expertise, excellent communication skills, and an ability to garner support for the School from a wide range of constituencies. Successful candidates will have significant experience in academic and programmatic development as well as demonstrated leadership in a strategic role. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Boys' Latin is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), the International Boys' Schools Coalition (IBSC) and is accredited by the Association of Independent Maryland & DC Schools (AIMSDC).

    Desired Qualities and Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field. Master's degree preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability to establish trust and rapport.
    • Experience initiating open dialogue and ability to balance advocacy needed to promote change with diplomacy required to engender broad community support.
    • Ability to manage and address conflict.
    • Teaching and curriculum development experience preferred. Application
