    Title: Finance Analyst Financial Reporting

    Reports to: CEO

    Location: Philadelphia, PA (Remote Hybrid)

    Classification: Part-time, Hourly

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Purpose Capital is a finance partner for entrepreneurial-minded Founders and Executive Directors who lead high-impact organizations. Our services include outsourced CFO and financial back-office support for a client base of small businesses and nonprofits across a variety of industries. As we grow, we seek a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst Intern. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial analysis and contribute to the success of our diverse client base.

    Summary/Objective: The Entry-Level Financial Analyst will be crucial in maintaining and analyzing financial data, contributing to decision-making processes, and supporting various financial functions. This position is ideal for individuals looking to develop their financial analysis, reporting, and business advisory skills.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities

    ? Assist in financial analysis, including developing operating budgets, updating monthly forecasts, and conducting trend analysis.

    ? Reporting and analysis of the monthly actuals and comparison with forecast, budget or prior year to business and finance management.

    ? Prepare monthly financial reports, and presentations for client leadership teams and Board of Directors.

    ? Create dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights.

    ? Collaborate with the team to gather and analyze financial data for client projects.

    ? Conduct industry and market research.

    ? Assist in identifying financial trends and providing insights to enhance financial performance.

    ? Support the preparation of grant reports.

    Qualifications

    ? Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, or Management Consulting.

    ? Basic understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.

    ? Skilled in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus.

    ? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    ? Incredibly high attention to detail.

    ? Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

    ? Willingness to learn and contribute to the team.

    ? Sets high standards of performance for oneself

    ? Embraces continuous improvement and demonstrates accountability.

    ? Ability to identify and articulate operational and financial trends

    ? Financial analysis

    ? Budgeting and forecasting

    ? Developing data driven PowerPoint presentations

    ? Highly organized and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines

    ? Ability to handle multiple projects and deliverables in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

    Work Environment:

    Hybrid (remote and in-office). Initial onboarding requires 2-3 days per week in-office for the first 30 days. Post-onboarding, a flexible hybrid schedule will be established based on business needs.

    Hourly Rate

    $20-25 per hour, based on experience level.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a part-time position with approximately 20 hours per week. The typical schedule is 9 am2 pm Monday through Thursday, and Friday is 9 am12 pm, as needed.
