    **Medical Support Specialist and Clinical Assistant**

    **Hiring Bonus of $1,000 to external candidates**

    We are Seeking a **Clinical Support Support Specialist** for our **Outpatient Mental health Clinic at Family Life Clinic.** This position provides support to the organizations primary care/psychiatric providers while promoting whole-person health and wellbeing.

    As a member of an interdisciplinary team, this role will contribute to an environment of person-centered care and safety through client engagement, assessment, communication and timely documentation. This position is a vital point of contact for consumers seeking and receiving services at our outpatient mental health clinics. This includes welcoming visitors, providing non-clinical information, collecting copays, entering health insurance and consumer demographic information into the electronic health record, appointment scheduling as needed, and minor general administrative support for the clinic.

    **Hours:** Full-Time .8 FTE 32 hours a week **Monday - Thursday 10:30am - 7:00pm closes clinic every evening.**

    **Hiring Range:** $ $18.05 hourly

    **Required Qualifications:**

    Associate of Art

    Minimum of one year of prior administrative support experience

    In lieu of an AA degree in a behavior sciences field, an AA degree in any field plus 2 years

    administrative support experience in a healthcare setting may be substituted

    **Preferred Qualifications:**

    Bachelor of Arts degree.

    Graduate of a formal training program in medical reception, customer service or equivalent.

    Experience as a receptionist, scheduler, or administrative assistant in a medical or clinic setting

    Prior experience working with individuals who have mental illness.

    Preference will be given to candidates with prior administrative support experience within a not-for profit environment.

    **Main Job Duties:**

    Demonstrate excellent customer service skill to customer/ victors in the clinic and on the phone. Greet consumers in a respectful manner and demonstrate professional telephone and email etiquette.

    Responsible for the development and implementation of client mental health services, ensuring documentation standards are met and addressing emergency situations as needed while demonstrating sound decision-making, discretion and problem solving skills at all times

    Review and coordinate services related to the client psychiatric symptoms survey and well-being assessment that support appointment preparation and on-going services.

    Monitor telephone queue and voicemails closely to ensure consumers phone calls are answered in a timely manner.

    Provide administrative support to program(s) in the areas of prescription refill requests, prior authorizations, obtaining external medical records, and general facilitation of program needs.

    Schedule appointments as needed in an accurate and timely manner

    Actively participate in the mental health services providing leadership, sharing of clinical expertise with other team members and advancing the reputation of services provided

    Collaborate with other program Clinical Supervisor, Division Directors, or others to ensure consistency of clinical direction given to staff

    Document interactions with clients into organizations Electronic Health Record (EHR) and if applicable, program-specific documentation/record-keeping system, while providing clear and concise communication with client, staff and other applicable parties
