Accounts Payable Specialist

Are you looking for a Senior Accounts Payable position? LHH Recruitment is currently looking for a AP Specialist in Overland Park for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This is a role pays $22-25/hour based on experience and working a hybrid schedule (3 days in the office, 2 at home). The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing and processing all invoices and payments in an accurate and timely manner. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Read below for additional details

Responsibilities include

Handling staff expense reimbursements: verifying accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring no duplicate entries.
Processing accounts payable and batch invoices.
Researching overdue balances.
Setting up new vendors by obtaining necessary documentation.
Reviewing vendor account statements.
Filing approved invoices and expense reports.
Contacting relevant personnel for pending approvals or missing invoices.
Assisting with various projects as required. Required Qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively under pressure.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
High school diploma or GED required; an associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus.
Upholding the highest standards of ethics and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
