- Field failure data analysis and warranty reduction.
- Assessment of production part changes and the subsequent impact on service parts.
- Recommendation and implementation of process improvements at supplier remanufacturing locations.
- Manage & resolve product launch quality issues and manage continuous improvement activities for a given Commodity or Vehicle systems.
- Monitor customer product quality levels, including field diagnostic issues, with a focus on improvement through corrective action and product enhancements.
- Plan, prioritize, set goals, and manage multiple projects in a technical and business environment.
- Exhibit a willingness to do things differently and consistently translate ideas into actions that deliver results.
- Develop relationships and work closely with the various internal Engineering Organizations to ensure the transfer of product knowledge within the appropriate service organizations.
- Participate in technical discussions and collaborate with cross-functioning teams such as product design, quality, service operations, purchasing, inventory control, and program management.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years of Product or Quality Engineering experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of the design and manufacture of Automotive Systems/Components.
- Knowledge of dealer diagnostics and repair procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Software: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel domestically.
- In-depth knowledge of troubleshooting Automotive Systems & Components.
- Manufacturing, design release and/or supplier quality experience are also desired.
- Ability to prioritize current issues, resolve them promptly, and effectively communicate resolution to internal teams and our customers.
- Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills.
- Working experience with the organization's diagnostic tools (wiTECH or CDA).
- Strong background in Powertrain Assemblies such as Engines, Transmissions, and Drivelines.
- Strong technical knowledge of the design and manufacture of Automotive Systems/Components.
- Knowledge of dealer diagnostics and repair procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Software: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- In depth knowledge of troubleshooting Automotive Systems & Components with emphasis on Powertrain and excellent analytic and problem-solving skills.
