    *Our transportation team helps improve the connectivity of the community through solutions that support the safe and efficient movement of goods, services and people.

    Our Transportation team is looking for a Utility Engineer to provide Natural Gas design and coordination to the Transportation Market.


    Responsibilities:

    • Distribution /

    Transmission Engineering:
    Responsible for Distribution / Transmission line engineering.

    Duties may include preparing, providing guidance or assist in preparing and developing the engineering deliverables for Natura Gas distribution / transmission projects, including:

    line routing, pipe and valve sizing, regulator stations, cathodic protection, railroad and stream crossings, plan and profile drawings, material selection, construction specifications and all associated calculations.


    • Utility Relocation Engineering: Involved in relocation plans design for highway construction projects including those funded by State DOT.
    • Frequent client contact and supervisory responsibilities included.
    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE), Mechanical Engineering (BSME), or other related degree from an accredited four year college or university.
    • 5-10 Years of experience in Natural Gas Utility design and coordination.
    • Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Tennessee, or ability to become registered within 12 months. Willingness to acquire licenses in other states.
    • Familiarized with DOT Plans production and procedures.
    • Experience in Natural Gas Utility design and construction coordination related to DOT roadway projects.
    • Computer-Aided Drafting experience (MicroStation and or Open Roads experience a plus).
    • Natural gas system design and/or construction experience
    • Good written and oral communication skills
    • Experience in the utility industry
