- Monitor/analyze GL accounts, adjust journal entries as needed
- Prepare/record journal entries for revenues, banking activity, monthly accruals and other property activity
- Prepare bank reconciliations
- Prepare/maintain supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts
- Track required payments and ensure items are paid timely; i.e. taxes, insurance, debt service, distributions
- May include various aspects of accounts payable
- Assist with preparation of supporting materials for audit and tax return process, etc
- Assist with recording of property-related transactions such as purchase/sale or refinancing
- Assist in other projects as needed
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced changing environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- High attention to detail to ensure accurate and timely results.
- Takes a proactive approach to accomplishing goals and objectives.
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2-3+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Intermediate to advanced Excel required
- Yardi software experience required
- Experience performing and prioritizing multiple overlapping tasks

Since our inception in 2013, our focus has been on investments in major and secondary markets across the United States that offer significant cash flow, revenue growth, and long-term capital appreciation opportunities. With over 100 locations nationwide, and a robust pipeline, we are adding a Property Manager to our teamThis position works in Go Store It Management, the self-storage property management division of Madison Capital Group Holdings. The Property Accountant performs daily accounting activities for a portfolio of self-storage real estate properties and related legal entities; and delivers accurate results in accordance with required timelines for month-end close and internal and external reporting requirements.
