Job Summary and Qualifications:
What You Will Do In Your Role:
- Support of facility-wide standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization activities related to the EHR and other clinical informatics initiatives
- Audits and prepares reports of the electronic health record using tools for data collection and reporting of CPOE, PDOC, and other EHR project
- Assesses impact on clinical workflow and facilitate workflow redesign to gain maximum benefit of new technology
- Collaborate with the Director Clinical Informatics, Service Line Directors, and frontline staff on clinical quality initiatives to advance the Clinical Excellence scorecard.
- Establishes and maintains strong relationships with the entire project team, clinical leaders, business leaders, IT&S leaders, and staff.
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelor's degree required, clinical degree preferred with strong healthcare facility experience. Master Degree preferred ideally with focus on Health Informatics
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Previous experience involving the focused review/follow up of clinical documentation with special emphasis on evaluating diagnosis/severity related information is preferred
- Meditech experience strongly preferred
- Must have previous experience facilitating large projects which includes implementation of health technology
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date) required, Health Informatics Certification encouraged
