    Description

    Overview: We are in search of a highly skilled Data Specialist proficient in SQL (preferably MS SQL Server/Google Big Query), Data Warehousing, and developing code for ETL processes using Python.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Refine Data Warehouse Model.
    • Enhance existing Python ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) scripts.
    • Collaborate with business teams to determine data reporting needs.

    Required Experience:

    • Data Modeling
    • Strong SQL skills, with a preference for experience in MS SQL Server and Google BigQuery.
    • Hands-on experience in Python ETL development.
      • Familiarity with Python libraries like Pandas, SqlAlchemy, etc.
    • Utilization of ETL tools such as Airflow, NiFi, dbt, or similar.

    Desired Experience:

    • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
    • Knowledge of Data Warehouse methodologies such as Inmon, Kimball, or Data Vault.
    • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools like Git, Terraform, etc.
    • Proficiency in reporting tools such as Tableau or R Shiny.
    • Experience in handling public health data would be advantageous.
    • A strong interest in coding and ensuring quality assurance.

    Additional Details:

    • This role is for a long-term contract position.
    • The ideal candidate must possess excellent problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills for interactions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Collaboration with diverse teams and the flexibility to adapt to changing project needs may be required.
    • The candidate should exhibit a proactive attitude towards learning and staying updated on technological advancements and industry standards.
