    Description


    The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for assisting and augmenting the day-to-day capacity of the Chief Engineering Officer on the client's large hyperscale data center design and construction program within the company's Engineering team.

    This includes the design of new hyperscale data centers and campuses, supporting operations staff with engineering solutions, and streamlining construction issues resolutions.


    Responsibilities:


    Collaborate with core teams to develop, implement, and manage the data center electrical designs at the company's data center locations, starting from Basis of Design (BOD) to Issued For Construction (IFC) data center services documents for new data center projects build-outs, infrastructure upgrades, and renovations.

    Peer review consultants' deliverables including drawing sets, specifications, sequence of operations, calculations, models, etc. and provide comments & resolutions.
    Review and provide recommendations on potential value engineering opportunities.
    Perform rapid conceptual sketches using CAD or BIM for visualization and spatial/dimensional validations for internal purposes only.
    Support Data Center Operations with any design upgrades at the site
    Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of company policies.
    Communicate these in a clear concise work statement for the field.
    Represent the company in project meetings as needed.
    Be responsible for supporting quality assurance and control during the construction process.

    Support the commissioning team in the development of documentation and testing procedures for each project, review field testing results, and provide technical guidance to Vendor teams in the resolution of issues.

    Qualifications:

    5 years' experience
    Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar engineering degree
    Licensed PE / EIT a Plus
    Experience with AutoCAD for minor tweaks for any design plans a MUST.

    Previous experience using:
    Revit MEP projects, BIM a plus.
    Experience with Electrical Power Systems such as UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), Generators, Switchgear, and Batteries a MUST

    Work with design consultants to conduct Load flow studies, fault calculations, Arc Flash, overcurrent coordination studies, duct bank calculations, harmonic studies, etc.

    Previous Data Center / Mission Critical experience preferred.
    Comprehensive knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 70E, and other related codes and standards for electrical design of Data Centers
    Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
    Electrical equipment testing experience in a Critical Facilities / facility environment.
    Ability to successfully work independently.
    Initiative-taker, self-motivated, and should prioritize well.
