Job DescriptionThe Invesco Structured Investments team manages a wide range of investment vehicles and endeavors to support the broader Invesco Fundamental Fixed Income investment platform. The team manages assets across the agency mortgage and commercial mortgage backed, non-agency mortgage and commercial mortgage backed, and asset backed securities sectors with the goal of delivering best-in-class fund performance and trade execution. The team manages approximately $34bn USD across a variety of strategies including, but not limited to, short duration stable value, ultrashort floating rate credit, agency mortgage REIT, and multi-asset securitized credit.
This position would support the broader asset backed trading and portfolio management functions.Position Description:Work closely with senior portfolio manager(s) on a variety of investment strategies and vehicles managed by the broader structured investments team, including mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and/or institutional accountsUnderstanding of portfolio management fundamentals including, but not limited to, duration and key rate duration positioning, spread duration positioning, and asset allocationEmploy a relative value oriented mindset when assessing cross-sector asset allocation opportunities across the universe of structured products (ABS, CMBS, MBS) and investment grade creditDevelop meaningful relationships with sell-side contacts to help facilitate best execution on secondary ABS trading and new issue allocationsInteraction with broader structured investments credit analysts to better understand underwriting, internal rating processes and bond/sector nuancesFormulate and communicate trade ideas for the broader Invesco Fixed Income (IFI) platform to generate potential alpha for the wider set of investment teamsPeriodically interact with current or prospective retail and institutional investorsDraft or assist in drafting periodic investment commentary for both internal and external audiencesExperience / Knowledge3-5 years of experience with structured products. Consumer and/or commercial asset-backed securities (ABS) would be preferredFamiliarity with BloombergFamiliarity with BlackRock Solutions Aladdin platform and/or Charles River front office platformStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel. VBA skills would be preferredPreferred Skills / Qualities:Humble, client centric focus.
