    Description

    Staff Accountant:

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations.
    • Help maintain and improve month-end close processes, including monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Perform bank reconciliations.
    • Complete month-end close work in the following areas: prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, operating expenses and other areas as needed.
    • Ensure compliance with GAAP.
    • Respond to information requests and assist with the annual financial statement audit.
    • Analyze financial statements and GL accounts to ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual fluctuations are in line with expectations and documented.
    • Assist the accounting manager, director of accounting, and controller as needed.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
    • 1-2 years of experience
    • Ability to read and analyze financial statements/reports
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
