    At Winston Products, we bring truly innovative product solutions to everyday consumer product categories. Located in Solon, OH, Winston Products is privately owned and professionally managed, operating on a culture of "Work Hard. Play Hard. Family Hard." Winston Products holds over 150 patents and operates six brands found in major retailers like Home Depot, Lowe's, and Walmart.

    Product Manager Job Summary:

    The Product Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, tracking, and managing new product development projects from inception to completion. Will be required to lead projects and lead cross-department meetings. Will utilize the GATE Chart to track all new products and projects. The Product Manager will work with internal teams to manage the complete life cycle of a product from idea inception to grave.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:


    • Plans and coordinates product development process with the WP Engineering Team


    • Active participation and leader of GATE meetings

    Duties/Responsibilities:


    • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with team members and stakeholders


    • Monitor project progress and ensure that project goals are met on time and within budget


    • Communicate project updates to team members, stakeholders, and customers


    • Identify and mitigate project risks and develop contingency plans


    • Ensure that all project documentation is up-to-date and accurate


    • Lead and motivate team members to achieve project objectives


    • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure project success


    • Work closely with the Graphic Team on packaging development, .com content, brand integrity and creative requests


    • Continuously improve project management processes and tools to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness


    • Track, maintain and report on the active, discontinued and in-active parts to continuously improve product life cycle tracking


    • Work with Sales Support to manage Plytix (PIMS System) process and maintain / update product information

    Required Skills/Abilities:


    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


    • Excellent time management and supervisory skills


    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills


    • Background in consumer products with a clear understanding of brick & mortar retail


    • Basic knowledge of product engineering, manufacturing, packaging development, brand development


    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

    Education and Experience:


    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or like field


    • At least five years of related Product Management experience preferred

    Other Requirements:


    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer


    • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds


    • Potential for travel to Customer Meetings and Trade Shows


    • Willing to work from the Winston Products home office (Solon, Ohio)
