The
Production Manager will work in our fabrication/manufacturing facility. Responsibilities will include quality control/inspection, shop scheduling, and material management, for several projects at a time. Mastering all aspects of mechanical fabrication for a complete refrigeration system is imperative. This role will support either our fabrication department or logistics department and move between departments based on business needs. The Associate Production Manager will report to the VP of Manufacturing and has excellent growth potential.

Key Duties:


  • Oversee and coordinate production processes
  • Planning and organizing production schedules
  • Assessing project and resource requirements
  • Supervising and managing the work of the production team
  • Coach, develop, and mentor staff through effective use of continuous feedback and open communication and ensure that all direct reports are properly trained in their necessary duties
  • Ensure enough resources are on hand to complete tasks
  • Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met
  • Organizing the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment
  • Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production
  • Establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations
  • Setting productivity goals for each manufacturing team
  • Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality
  • Research and develop new ways to cut costs and improve production
  • Responsible for ensuring the production schedule is met
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:


  • 2 year degree in a related field
  • 2 years' experience in a manufacturing/fabrication/production environment
  • Leadership experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to train, develop, motivate and lead a team
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Ensure that all safety standards are met
  • Strong mechanical ability, reasoning and problemsolving skills
  • Good communication skillswritten & verbal
  • Must be willing to work some Saturday shifts and be open to overtime
  • Ability to read blueprints (or learn how to)
  • Able to work at heights
  • Computer literacy

Preferences:


  • Experience refrigeration, HVAC, or process piping
  • Experience with production scheduling
  • Experience in a highvolume logistics role
