Job DescriptionThe Charleston School of Law seeks resumés for the full-time position of Assistant to the Registrar. This position will serve as primary point of contact for visitors to the office, responding to inquiries of alumni, students, faculty, administration and staff. The Assistant to the Registrar will handle phone calls, screening and directing to the appropriate person, answering inquiries, following through on requests, and solving routine problems.
This position will work with the Registrar to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of student academic records by creating and maintaining paper files for students, filing documents and helping to maintain accurate records, processing class waitlists during each registration period and processing Add/Drop forms during Add/Drop periods.
The Assistant to the Registrar will also compile required documents for requests such as course withdrawals, changes in enrollment status, leaves of absence, requests to study away, excessive absences, transfer credit data entry, run reports to assist in identification of students on probation or dismissal. This position will assist the Registrar on other duties as assigned, including degree audits, graduation, exam support and proctoring and developing and administering operational policies and procedures.
