The Digital Banking Portfolio is seeking a Digital Portfolio Manager to support the Payments portfolio management team.

Payments' mission is to power best-in-class issuer agnostics money movement experiences and business growth through innovative platform products and services.

By seamlessly integrating solutions to power innovative payment experiences for AXP customers.

Payments as a Service moves a TRILLION dollars in 27 markets covering 20+ of the biggest schemes:
(ACH, BACS, SEPA) with a roadmap to integrate with emergent Real Time Rails and hide the complexity of handling money. Also, a critical part of the roadmap is to develop greenfield capabilities such as bank account validation, intelligent payment orchestration and routing and bank partner integration to enable a world-class secure and seamless experience for our customers.


In this role you will empower the Payments product and engineering teams through the introduction, management, and administration of efficient tools and processes.

Design and establish business processes to enable product success. Create and maintain documentation and supporting material to ensure the efficient operations of the product teams.

Maintain unified product domain backlogs and roadmaps and tracks initiatives across Product teams to meet timelines and identify risks and dependencies.

Lead the product governance process to ensure products meet the needs of all relevant stakeholders.


Responsibilities:


  • Conducts analyses and reports in support of effective operations of and planning activities for digital product management, special projects/initiatives and/or strategic/operational planning activities.
  • Facilitates intake & prioritization.
  • Schedules & facilitates portfolio.
  • Tracks and visualizes product outcomes with clearly defined metrics and targets.
  • Sends external communications on behalf of the portfolio to increase transparency across stakeholders and business partners.
  • Facilitates teamwork and alignment between crossfunctional teams including engagement, design, analytics, engineering, and experimentation and helps to identify and resolve any risks in the plans.
  • Supports Annual & Strategic Planning
  • Institutionalizes the knowledge of outcomes and lean portfolio management best practices.
  • Identifies ways to improve and streamline agile operations.
  • Fosters collaboration and transparency between product and business teams
  • Develops tools and processes to improve the agile teams' ability to reliably execute and relentlessly innovate.
  • Keeps up to date with industry, competitor, Agile/SAFe methodologies, and latest trends.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Lean Portfolio Management, or Project Management with proven record of accomplishment in defining winning product constructs and delivering a product roadmap.
  • Experience in Payments is preferred but not required.
  • In depth knowledge of Scaled Agile (SAFe) methodologies and lean processes
  • Proven record of accomplishment managing large, complex products with multiple partners
  • Leadership skills, including ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels within organization, internally and externally.
