- Collaborate with Heads of School and Boards of Trustees to establish financial strategies aligned with institutional goals
- Supervise the production of monthly financial reports and present findings to school Finance Committees and Boards of Trustees
- Lead annual budgeting and planning processes in collaboration with stakeholders
- Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to support decision-making
- Manage cash flow, investments, and risk assessment
- Ensure on-time completion of annual audits
- Regularly meet with Heads of School to monitor progress and maintain strong relationships
- Assess and improve internal controls to enhance the quality and timeliness of information provided to clients
- At least seven (7) years of senior financial leadership experience, with a minimum of three (3) years in independent schools
- Established professional network in the independent school sector
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CPA, or other relevant advanced certification preferred
- Familiarity with GAAP and various accounting systems
- Strong spreadsheet skills
- Experience with tuition management, financial aid, and fundraising systems used in independent schools
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced non-profit environments
