    Project Development - Lead Generation (Local Preferred)

    Company:Our client is a leading provider of mechanical contracting services for commercial and industrialprojects. They specialize in complex HVAC systems, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional results for their clients in the K-12, water treatment, heavy industrial, and government sectors.


    The Opportunity:They are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to spearhead their efforts in capturing new business opportunities within their target vertical market. This is a newly created leadership role responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve significant revenue expansion.


    Responsibilities:

    Lead Market Expansion:

    Identify and qualify high-value prospects within our target vertical market, focusing on new client acquisition (local candidates are highly preferred).

    Develop a deep understanding of their unique challenges and craft compelling solutions that address their specific needs.

    Drive Revenue Growth:

    Become the lead rainmaker, managing the entire sales cycle from initial contact to final contract negotiation in an owner-direct sales environment.

    Develop winning proposals and presentations that effectively showcase the value proposition of our offerings and secure multi-million-dollar deals
    (ideally $5 million - $10 million annually).



    Build Strategic Relationships:

    Cultivate and nurture strong, long-term relationships with both existing and prospective clients, serving as the primary point of contact.

    Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients at all levels.

    Technical Collaboration:
    Work effectively with engineers to ensure proposed solutions align perfectly with client requirements and exceed expectations.


    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a similar B2B sales role, with a demonstrably successful track record of exceeding quotas in a highly competitive market. Experience closing large deals is a plus.
    • Deep understanding of our target vertical market and its unique challenges is essential. Priorexperience with equipment sales is a strong advantage.
    • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieveambitious sales targets.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills are required, with the ability toconfidently present to senior-level decision-makers.
    • A strong work ethic, independent initiative, and the ability to manage multiple prioritieseffectively are essential.
    • A collaborative spirit with the ability to build strong relationships and foster teamwork withininternal teams.
