RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of vehicles in AID Upstate's fleet. The Transportation Specialist provides transportation services to AID Upstate patients/clients to and from appointments related to their care.
The employee is responsible for coordinating with clients and service providers to establish client pick-up and drop-off arrangements (time, place, destination, etc.) that ensure both a timely arrival and minimal wait time.
This service must be provided in a confidential, friendly and respectful manner at all times.Please note:
AID Upstate's confidentiality policy extends beyond the employment period. The employee is also responsible for scheduling routine maintenance and emergency service for all vehicles in the fleet.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Occasionally moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces and adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions.
remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods, moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another, communicating with others to exchange information, repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers, operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment, and assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid South Carolina Driver's License, and a clean driving record.
The candidate must be able to communicate effectively via spoken and written word, must be able to communicate via telephone and/or cell phone, and have basic computer skills.
A familiarity with our four-county service area (Anderson, Greenville, Oconee and Pickens) and basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance is required.
Applicant must have the skills to use search engines, Global Positioning Systems (GPS), maps and/or other tools to maneuver throughout our service area.
