- Educational Background:
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Quantum Computing, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in quantum computing and its applications in AI and autonomous systems.
- Extensive background in machine learning, reinforcement learning, and AI vulnerability analysis.
- Experience with developing and implementing counter-autonomy strategies.
- Hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms such as IBM Q, Google Quantum AI, or similar.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar.
- Familiarity with AI frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Expertise in quantum programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Qiskit, Cirq, Quipper).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Citizenship:
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.
- Experience working on DoD projects or within a classified environment.
- Knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
- Prior involvement in Phase I and Phase II SBIR/STTR projects.
- Demonstrated ability to apply quantum algorithms to real-world problems.
- Familiarity with quantum error correction and quantum cryptography techniques.

Job DescriptionJob Title: Quantum Expert Consultant
Job Description: The Quantum Expert Consultant will play a critical role in developing novel methods to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in autonomous systems designed for Department of Defense (DoD) missions. This position will involve a comprehensive analysis of AI and autonomous systems, focusing on the development, integration, and deployment processes to ensure robustness against potential counter-autonomy strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Research and Development:
o Conduct thorough analysis of existing autonomy approaches relevant to air combat missions.
o Identify potential attack surfaces and vulnerabilities in autonomous systems.
o Develop and refine prototype algorithms for identifying high-risk vulnerabilities in AI and autonomy agents.
o Design and implement quantum algorithms to enhance AI robustness and security.
2. Quantum Computing Integration:
o Leverage quantum computing techniques to solve complex optimization and simulation problems in autonomous systems.
o Develop quantum-resistant algorithms to protect against future quantum-based attacks.
o Integrate quantum machine learning models with existing AI systems to improve performance and security.
3. Counter-Autonomy Strategies:
o Develop methods to identify and counter opponent autonomous systems.
o Create red-teaming strategies to mitigate the effectiveness of potential counter-autonomy techniques.
o Ensure the integration of developed prototypes with Navy systems for Phase III deployment.
4. Technical Documentation and Reporting:
o Prepare detailed technical documentation, including user and design documentation.
o Produce reports on the findings and strategies developed, ensuring they meet the requirements for Phase II and Phase III of the project.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
o Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of AI researchers, software engineers, and defense personnel.
o Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
o Participate in regular meetings and briefings with project managers and DoD representatives.
