- Develop effective student educational experiences that engage and stimulate student learning. Write weekly lesson plans based on the Ohio Learning Standards - Extended (OLS-E).
- Teach lessons based on the OLS-E standards. Vary instructional techniques to address diverse student learning styles.
- Provide Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) as per each student's IEP.
- Support students in the development of communication, adaptive functioning, cognitive, and motor skills.
- Prepare and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEP). Facilitate IEP meetings.
- Maintain complete and accurate records and documentation.
- Evaluate the academic needs of students. Use formal and informal assessment strategies to monitor student learning and progress.
- Write Progress Reports every 9-weeks based on student IEP data.
- Complete job-related trainings (e.g., blood borne pathogens, safety drills). These will be provided by Capstone Academy and the residential facility.
