    SUMMARY:

    We are seeking an Estimator to analyze project requirements and provide accurate cost estimations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes and be able to supervise junior staff members.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine project scope
    • Conduct a detailed takeoff of the scope of work
    • Maintain accurate documentation of estimate figures
    • Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
    • Analyze risk factors and provide feedback on bids
    • Attend pre-bid meetings and project hand-off meetings
    • Explore value engineering options for cost optimization
    • Mentor and train junior estimators

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent technical training
    • 8-10 years of estimating experience
    • Strong math and computer skills
    • Construction field experience is a plus
    • Ability to conceptualize project schedules and costs effectively
    • Proficiency in estimating techniques and cost control
    • Familiarity with computerized cost data systems
