    JOB SUMMARY:

    • Key Deliverables:
      • Improve External Quality by 15% - Dec. 2022
      • Improve Internal Quality & Yield by 15% - Dec. 2022
      • New Product Introduction Projects Launched on time and meeting quality targets
      • Assist Value Analysis/Value Engineering team as required to achieve cost savings targets
    • Level of Accountability: Support production, service, customization, and product development teams in driving internal process/quality improvements, supplier quality improvements, and engineering change orders
    • Act as New Product Introduction Engineer when applicable for new product launches transferring into production
    • Avoid line down occurrences due to: technical and quality issues internally and at suppliers, parts going obsolete, supply chain disruptions.

    KEY RESPONSBILITIES:

    • Verify and implement quality defect countermeasures, and sustain results in electromechanical and optical systems, with reagents and consumables
    • Drive product quality improvement through process development and design changes internally and with suppliers
    • Learn and utilize knowledge of our Danaher Business System lean tools such as Standardized Work, Problem Solving Process, Waste Elimination in driving process improvements to improve process efficiencies
    • Support daily production relative to build (process) and quality issues through hands-on troubleshooting
    • Support creation, evaluation, coordination and implementation of Change Orders
    • Own internal quality reports (data collection and reporting)
    • Lead projects with moderate guidance as needed to achieve our team's key performance indicators

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • B.S. in Engineering or equivalent degree
    • 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing role (or equivalent experience)
    • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
    • Ability to work with and drive cross-functional teams
    • Creative thinker with excellent troubleshooting skills
    • Driven individual with passion for improving quality of products and processes
    • Experience driving quality improvements with products and suppliers
