Activity Leader:
Fox Point Branch

Rate of pay:
$16/hour


We have an immediate opening for an experienced School-Age Child Care staff at our Fox Point clubhouse in Providence who can work a mix of before-school and after-school shifts, and during the day in the summer.

20 to 30 hours/week depending on your availability.

Activity Leaders carry out fun, age-appropriate activities for ages 5-12 in sports & games, arts & crafts, outdoor play, recreation, homework help, education, and more.


School-year work schedule:

  • Beforeschool shift 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM Monday through Friday
  • Afterschool shift 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday

Summer work schedule:
- approximately 20-30 hours/week

  • Must be available through August 23.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Age 18 or older (required)
  • High school diploma or GED (required).
  • Minimum of 12 college credits earned (_preferred_).
  • At least one year of youthrelated work experience in a group setting (required), in an urban, diverse setting (preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in leading activities for schoolage children (required).
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate positively with youth of ages 51
  • Ability to follow child safety and behavior management policies and procedures of organization.
  • Ability to successfully pass all background checks, including but not limited to: national, state, and local background checks (fingerprintbased); state Child Abuse Registry clearances; continuous criminal records monitoring during course of employment; education and employment verifications; reference checks; drug test (for illegal drugs).
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification (preferred, but can be earned during employment if not current).
