    Description

    Headquartered in Lakeshore Center in Bridgewater, Massachusetts, Claremont Companies is a privately owned and closely held real estate investment, development and asset management firm. Today, Claremont owns in excess of 60 real estate assets consisting of hotels, apartments, retail centers, and office buildings with plans to expand even further.

    Claremont is growing and we're looking to add a Property Manager in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Reporting to the Regional Property Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the property under the direction of the Regional Property Manager (RPM).

    This position is a full-time onsite position at our Carbarn Apartments location in New Bedford, MA.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct daily physical inspections of the property
    • Directly supervise office staff
    • Supervise maintenance operations including grounds, custodial personnel and courtesy officers
    • Operate the property within the budget established by the RPM
    • Oversee all bookkeeping functions
    • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to hire property employees
    • Drive leasing sales for the property
    • Respond to resident requests or complaints in a timely, efficient and courteous manner
    • Generate company required reports and HUD information
    • Implement, design and maintain a resident retention program
    • Operate with OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company safety policies
    • Report any unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the residents or property to the RPM
    • Implement and enforce all company policies and procedures
    • Additional duties or job functions as deemed necessary

    Requirements
    • High school diploma or GED
    • 1-3 months of related experience and/or training
    • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor
    • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization
    • Ability to communicate in a professional manner, in-person, telephone and written communication
    • Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Resident Apartment Manager (ARM) designations are a plus.
