- Assist Vice President & Corporate Safety Manager with any accident investigations.
- Assist Vice President & Corporate Safety Manager with Safety Basics & Orientation Training
- Assist Vice President & Claims Manager with reporting insurance claims
- Participate in high-level discussions about Melwood's legal and advocacy strategy
- Assist with other responsibilities related to Melwood's Risk department, as assigned
- Candidate must be a 2024 graduate of the CTE Program
- Ability to work on a team and independently

JOB OVERVIEW
The Risk & Safety Intern will work closely with and support the Risk Management & Safety Vice President. The Risk Management & Safety Intern will help with safety and health projects, including Emergency Management, delivering and developing safety training material, incident management, emergency preparedness, and basics in commercial insurance. This position also offers excellent opportunities to work with other members of Melwood's risk and safety team. The Risk & Safety Intern will be paid $1,200.00 for 80 hours. The responsibilities of the Risk & Safety intern include:
