Summary of the Position:

The Engineering Project Manager provides support to the VP of Engineering and all Staff Engineers.

Responsible for repetitive equipment purchasing activities including setting up vendors, coordinating with vendors, processing purchase orders, payment of invoices, problem solving, releasing and scheduling trucking of equipment.
Manage internal projects while supporting maintenance and fabrication shop employees involved in new projects and retrofits/upgrades.
Maintain and track capital spending reports.
Manage new equipment purchases by working closely with vendors to ensure equipment meets manufacturing requirements. Some travel may be required for equipment Factory Acceptance Tests or other activities related to machine purchases.
Manage facility infrastructure maintenance and contractor safety training for all outside contractors.
Request vendor quotations with direction from Project Engineers, Electrical Engineers and VP of Engineering.
Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following current good manufacturing practices, allergen/sanitation controls, food defense/food fraud, HACCP/FSMA, SQF, and regulatory requirements.
Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality.
Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management.
Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills and information within assigned team and across functional areas.
Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.
Responsible to comply with all safety policies and procedures established for health and workplace safety.
Responsible to support safety culture by practicing safe work behaviors, reporting potential hazards, and conducting safety observations.

Qualifications:

Education, Experience, and Knowledge:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

Skills and Competencies:

Experience with Microsoft Project preferred.
Flexible skills in working with operations.
Solid phone skills.
Strong math aptitude.
