    Under direction from the Staff Services Manager I in the Division Support Office and the general direction of the Director of the Multilingual Support Division, and working cooperatively with program offices and supervisors throughout the California Department of Education, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) independently provides analytical support for personnel, policy, and division coordination.

    This position will also provide budget overview, programmatic monitoring, and fiscal support for the Migrant Education Program (MEP) grant, and contract support to the Multilingual Support Division staff.

    GRANT ADMINISTRATION.

    Working with the Migrant Education Program (MEP) Administrator and consultant staff, develop and/or maintain ongoing fiscal monitoring of the MEP regional budgets and expenditure reports.

    Write, review, and edit fiscal documents and correspondence regarding approval of expenditures aligned with fiscal procedures and policies. Review and recommend approval of application budget, quarterly expenditure reports, cash advances, budget revisions, and budget amendments.

    Prepares and processes grant payments and ensures payments are made in a timely manner; Initiating and providing follow-up when necessary.

    Provide technical support to MEP regional and district staff on fiscal operations, policies, and procedures.

    Working Conditions


    TELEWORK OPTION


    This position is headquartered in Sacramento and may be eligible for a hybrid telework schedule for eligible applicants residing in California.

    A hybrid telework schedule includes working remotely and physically reporting to the office.

    Remote-Centered:

    This position is headquartered in Sacramento and is remote-centered for eligible applicants residing in California; up to three days per week telework and up to two days per week in the office.

    • Please describe your experience on analyzing, monitoring, and projecting budgets, expenditures and invoices. Provide an example.
