The Diakonie Ruhr is active in the heart of the Ruhr area with over 60 services and facilities and 3000 employees.

Focus areas include elderly care, disability support, addiction support, refugee aid, homelessness support, and child and youth services.

As one of the largest social economy companies in the region, it offers many opportunities for development, meaningful tasks, and secure career prospects.


We are currently looking for individuals who want to contribute to homelessness support in Bochum, starting immediately (or later) for 19.5 hours per week (full-time not possible).

Especially for evening shifts, night shifts, and weekends.


Location:


The emergency shelter "Fliednerhaus" is located next to the Bochum stadium and is a low-threshold overnight facility for homeless people.

The shelter offers them a place to stay in double rooms. In addition, the shelter provides meals in the evening and morning. The house also offers common areas and the opportunity for personal hygiene.


Responsibilities:


  • Concrete support and assistance for homeless people or those at risk of homelessness
  • Depending on the location, independently taking on various shifts with associated tasks
  • Willingness to participate in further training
  • Willingness to further develop the support services of the Inner Mission
